I can’t even handle baby crochet patterns.
It seriously makes me want to have another baby this second.
This is my 2nd item in my Baby Accessory Line!
My first was an adorable pull-over smock (View it HERE on my Etsy store)
I am also SELLING these baby infinity scarves in my etsy store as well (HERE)
Now, I bring you, the Baby Crochet Chunky Cowl Tutorial.
I won’t be doing tutorials for all of my baby line, but this one was just too cute to keep to myself.
So without further delay, here it is:
-Charisma Tweed Bulky Yarn (Any Size 5 Bulky Yarn will work)
-Size N, 9MM Crochet Hook
*Chain 37. Sl St into beginning chain. Make sure you keep your chain straight when you slip stitch, otherwise your whole project will be off.
*Row 1: Chain 3. DC into top of the 2nd chain. Ch 1.
-Skip next Ch and DC into 4th Chain.
-Repeat, continuing to DC, Ch 1 in every other Chain.
-This creates your “holey” look. Be sure to always crochet into the TOP, so your scarf doesn’t become twiste.
-Sl St into top of 2nd chain of first Ch 3 in row.
(18 sets or DC, Ch 1)
*Row 2: Chain 3. DC into Ch 1 space, then Ch 1.
-Repeat in each Ch 1 space.
-Skipping the last Ch 1 space, Sl St into 2nd Chain of your first Ch 3 in row.
*Rows 3 and 4: Repeat row 2.
At the end of row 4, Sl St into 2nd Ch of 1st Ch 3 in row and finish off.
Here’s the pattern written out:
-Ch 37. Sl St into beginning Ch, keeping your chain straight.
-Row 1: Ch 3. DC into top of the 2nd Ch. Ch 1. Skip next Ch and DC into 4th Ch. Repeat, continuing to DC, Ch 1 in every other Chain. Sl St into top of 2nd Ch to finish row.
(18 sets of DC, Ch 1)
-Row 2: Ch 3. DC into Ch 1 space. Ch 1.
Repeat into every Ch 1 space.
Skipping the last Ch 1 space, Sl St into 2nd Ch of beginning Ch 3 in row.
(18 sets of DC, Ch1)
